A Marriage Carol by Chris Fabry & Gary Chapman

A Marriage Carol  This is a very cool re-imagination of a Christmas Carol!  It's Christmas Eve and Marlee and Jacob, a married couple, are on their way to get a divorce. They've been married for twenty years and have three beautiful children, but have drifted apart and can't see any way back.

As they take a shortcut on an icy road, Jacob loses control and they end up in a snowbank.  When Marlee comes to, Jacob is nowhere to be found and she goes searching.  She sees a house up on a hill and makes her way there.  The old man who answers is very welcoming and searches for Jacob, but no luck.  As Marlee worries about where Jacob is and if he's okay, she's shown visions of her past, present, and future.  Will she learn from them? Will she choose a different path or is it too late to save their marriage?

I really liked the twist on a Christmas Carol.  The writing is very good and the message so important. You might recognize Gary Chapman as the author of The Five Love Languages, a huge bestseller on marriage.  This is a great short story that will make you think!

I received this free from Moody Publishers in exchange for an honest review.
