Angel Falls by Connie Mann

Angel Falls  This is an exciting and suspenseful love story I really enjoyed!  Regina da Silva grew up in the streets of Brazil and did what she had to to survive.  Now she runs an orphanage to save as many children as she can.  Brooks Anderson is the son of the missionary who saved her, but he's turned his back on God and his father.  He's an Army Ranger and she'll need his help when someone tries to kill her and a baby she's sworn to protect.  As they go on the run, can she bring herself to trust a man for the first time in years?  Will Brooks and Regina remain jaded about love or will they finally open their hearts to what God has in store?

Regina and Brooks are fascinating characters.  I really liked getting to know them.  The relationship between Regina and Brooks was developed well and I loved the love/hate thing they had going.  I liked the suspense, but found myself questioning choices that seemed out of character.  There was also use of a British swear word once in the story.  I liked the themes of forgiveness and letting go of the past.  This is one to check out!

I received this book free from Abingdon Press in exchange for an honest review.
