The House that Love Built by Beth Wiseman

I really enjoyed this sweet romance about two people with a lot of baggage who need to forgive in order to move on with their lives. Brooke Holloway is a widow, mom of two, and runs the local hardware store in her small town of Smithville, Texas.  When Owen, the new guy in town, buys the old Hadley mansion, she's anxious to get a look inside to see if she can discover it's secrets.  They feel an immediate attraction, but is Brooke ready to open her heart?  Is Owen over his ex-wife and can he ever learn to trust a woman again?

I loved the wide variety of characters in this story.  There's a juvenile delinquent who gets hired by Owen who just needs a second chance, an interesting uncle, Brooke's family, and a surprise for Owen.  The romance felt a bit superficial, but not overly so.  While I liked the love story, the mix of all the characters made the story so much more interesting for me.  I really liked seeing how all of these characters intertwined and I especially liked the theme of forgiveness.  You should definitely check it out!

I received this book free from Booksneeze in exchange for an honest review.
