Trapped - Private Justice 2 by Irene Hannon

Cover Art  I loved this suspenseful, riveting story!  Librarian Laura Griffith is desperate to find her sixteen-year-old sister, Darcy, who ran away from her strict rules but has no idea of the dangers out on the street.  P.I. James Devlin of Phoenix Inc. has been hired to find her and he'll work as fast as he can, not only because time is critical, but because he's not allowed to date a client.  The sooner he can get Darcy home safe and sound, the sooner he can get to know her sister better.  However, Darcy seems to have disappeared without a trace and he starts to suspect foul play.  Can Dev and his team find Darcy in time?  Will Dev be able to risk his heart or has a past mistake broken it for good?

The differing viewpoints brought so much to this story.  Even though you know who the bad guy is, it was fascinating to see how his mind worked and also very creepy!  I liked getting to know Dev, Laura, and Darcy, also.   I liked the romance, but the suspense is definitely the focus.  One little annoyance for me is a lot of the chapters and sections end using the same type of sentence, which once I noticed it in her last book, I couldn't help seeing here, too. While I enjoyed the first book, I loved this one and I think the plot really made the difference for me.  This would work as a stand-alone, but characters from the first book are prominently in this one, and I found it more enjoyable to know their history.  Don't miss out on this amazing story!

I received this book free from Revell in exchange for an honest review.

Available August 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.
