Moonlight Masquerade by Ruth Axtell

Cover Art This is a fascinating regency set during the time of Napoleon Bonaparte! Lady Celine Wexham is suspected of being a spy for Napoleon by the British government, so Rees Phillips is sent undercover as her butler to ferret out the truth.  What will he discover?  And as he gets to know her better and starts falling for her, will he have to choose between  love and country?

I really enjoyed the romance and the unique obstacles they faced, from the class issue to whether she was a traitor.  I found it fascinating to learn about the war and the different groups vying for power in France.  The writing was wonderful and very descriptive; I felt like I was there!  There were also some great suspenseful moments and I loved the witty dialogue. I definitely recommend this book!

I received this book free from Revell in exchange for an honest review.

Available March 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.
